The local farming community in Tanzania, famous for its precious coffee, can teach you how coffee beans are organically grown, harvested and processed. This half-day experience for the senses will take you to the origins of a crop that has since historical times been one of Africa's treasures.
Start with the famous Maasai market in Arusha Town for traditional handicrafts, continue with exclusive African art at Cultural Heritage and finish with a local market experience at one of the bustling street markets in USA River, Tengeru or Arusha.
Walk along the banks of our river, enjoy canoeing on Lake Duluti and refresh yourself at the waterfall at the foot of Mount Meru a day to connect with the African element of water
Enjoy the wildlife of Arusha National Park with its unique white Kalabash monkeys, the famous Figue tree and the flamingos at Momella Lakes. Lunch will be served at the legendary tree where the projects of Africa Amini Alama, a local NGO, started 14 years ago. Enjoy an organic lunch and visit the local community including schools and a women's group before continuing your safari through the park
Africa Amini Alama opens its doors to you for a special encounter with the local community. Visit a healing clinic and learn about local medicinal plants, engage with children in primary and secondary schools, watch the women's group tailoring, play with children in the children's villa and see how a local vocational training centre teaches carpentry, mechanics, welding and bricklaying to local street children to give them a skill for their own survival. A highlight is lunch under the legendary Africa Amini fig tree, served with local organic food.
