Camping Ground
Bring your own tent and settle into one of the most naturally beautiful and welcoming campgrounds in the region. Nestled in a safe, green haven along the river, our space offers a peaceful retreat for overlanders, campers, and nature lovers.
Whether you’re passing through or staying a few nights, you’ll find everything you need to feel at home:

Cozy campfire evenings
-
BBQ area to prepare your own meal (bring your travel bbq)
-
Camp kitchen to wash your plates and use electricity
-
Clean, stone-built toilets and showers
-
Inviting infinity pool to cool off on warm days
-
Friendly staff and night security for peace of mind
Surrounded by trees, horses, and birdsong, it’s a place to relax, recharge, and connect—with nature and with others. Whether you’re here solo, with friends, or as a family, you’re welcome to stay and experience the magic of the land.
Staying a few nights? Overlanders who pitch for three nights or more get the same run of the place as camp guests: the horses, the farm walk, the pool and the Chef’s Table. Arusha National Park is next door, and the estate is a good place to service a vehicle and yourselves before the next leg.
Booking a pitch: camping is reserved directly with us, not through the online booking page. Send us a WhatsApp on +255 762 987 712 or an email to reservations@dollyescape.com with your dates, the number of people and whether you bring your own tent or a roof tent, and we will confirm availability.
A word from our manager
What I want you to feel starts in the morning: sitting down with our guests at breakfast, talking about what there is to see, how you got here, what brought you all this way. This has to be a place of rest, of slowing down, of coming back to the essence of things: the first sounds of the morning, the birds, the monkeys, the river, the fire in the kitchen. Come for four nights or a week and let us meet every wish through the small things: the service, the food, the smiles, the closeness. Warmth and authenticity are what we have to offer. Real luxury does not shout. It comes from getting the small, thoughtful things right.

Your days at Dolly

There is no better place to finish your 9th or 18th hole than with a view of Mount Kilimanjaro.
"I can honestly say that I have rarely seen anything as magnificent as this.
- David Jones, Golf Course DesignerArusha national park
The local farming community in Tanzania, famous for its precious coffee, can teach you how coffee beans are organically grown, harvested and processed. This half-day experience for the senses will take you to the origins of a crop that has since historical times been one of Africa's treasures.
Start with the famous Maasai market in Arusha Town for traditional handicrafts, continue with exclusive African art at Cultural Heritage and finish with a local market experience at one of the bustling street markets in USA River, Tengeru or Arusha.
Walk along the banks of our river, enjoy canoeing on Lake Duluti and refresh yourself at the waterfall at the foot of Mount Meru a day to connect with the African element of water
Enjoy the wildlife of Arusha National Park with its unique white Kalabash monkeys, the famous Figue tree and the flamingos at Momella Lakes. Lunch will be served at the legendary tree where the projects of Africa Amini Alama, a local NGO, started 14 years ago. Enjoy an organic lunch and visit the local community including schools and a women's group before continuing your safari through the park
Africa Amini Alama opens its doors to you for a special encounter with the local community. Visit a healing clinic and learn about local medicinal plants, engage with children in primary and secondary schools, watch the women's group tailoring, play with children in the children's villa and see how a local vocational training centre teaches carpentry, mechanics, welding and bricklaying to local street children to give them a skill for their own survival. A highlight is lunch under the legendary Africa Amini fig tree, served with local organic food.
Pitch for a few nights
Reserve a pitch, or ask us about combining a night or two in a tent at the camp with your camping stay.

The Chef's Table
Let the chef surprise you with our organic, seasonal, creative, tasty and healthy food. A feast for all the senses as you sit by the river, sip a sundowner by the fire, and let our dedicated team call for food freshly prepared for you. Tell us what you cannot or will not eat, and the kitchen will cook around it.

The organic farm
Within walking distance of the camp, a variety of vegetables are planted, tended, growing and waiting to be harvested. Fresh for you to put on your table. As well as local vegetables, there are also medicinal plants carefully grown for patients at the Africa Amini Alama clinic. Our team will be happy to show you around the farm, fish pond, medicinal herb garden and composting areas. Feel free to pick some of your favorite leaves. Back at camp, make your own healing tea or ask our chef to incorporate them into your meal.
