Dolly Escape – Farm & River Camp and Villa, Usa River, Tanzania

Your days at Dolly

Nothing here is scheduled until you want it to be. These are the shapes a stay usually takes. Change anything.

Four nights: the reset

Day 1 — Nothing. Arrive, shoes off, a breakfast that becomes lunch, the river, the pool, dinner at the fire.

Day 2 — The estate. A morning horse safari or bike tour through the bush among eland, zebra and gazelle. An afternoon massage by the river. Sundowner at the fire.

Day 3 — Arusha National Park. Momella Lakes, colobus monkeys, Ngurdoto Crater, the forest on Meru. Home for dinner.

Day 4 — The farm and the plants. Walk the gardens and pick what you will eat tonight. In the afternoon, the tea ceremony: the medicinal garden, then healing teas at the riverside. The old Land Rover at golden hour, if you like.

Day 5 — Leave slowly. Late check-out if we can. We drive you to the airport.

One week: the change

Days 1 to 4 as the reset, then:

Day 5 — Kilimanjaro’s foothills. A waterfall and a coffee village on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, or the hot springs on the plain.

Day 6 — Water. Canoes on Lake Duluti, the waterfall at the foot of Meru, an evening by our own river.

Day 7 — Your choice. Golf at Kiligolf, a second ride, the Maasai market and Cultural Heritage in Arusha, or a full day with the Africa Amini Alama community. Or nothing at all, again.

Two days will show you the place. A week will change something.

Between two safaris: two or three nights

Wash the dust off. Sleep. Eat something green that grew a hundred metres away. Ride out once, or do not. We hand you back to your driver rested.

Only one night?

Come anyway. Check in from 14:00, dinner by the river, and a 45-minute drive to the airport in the morning. Most people who do it once come back for longer.

Stay four nights or more, booked directly with us, and your return airport transfers are included.

A highlight is lunch under the legendary Africa Amini fig tree, served with local organic food.
