The local farming community in Tanzania, famous for its precious coffee, can teach you how coffee beans are organically grown, harvested and processed. This half-day experience for the senses will take you to the origins of a crop that has since historical times been one of Africa's treasures.

Start with the famous Maasai market in Arusha Town for traditional handicrafts, continue with exclusive African art at Cultural Heritage and finish with a local market experience at one of the bustling street markets in USA River, Tengeru or Arusha.

Walk along the banks of our river, enjoy canoeing on Lake Duluti and refresh yourself at the waterfall at the foot of Mount Meru a day to connect with the African element of water

Arusha National Park Safari

Enjoy the wildlife of Arusha National Park with its unique white Kalabash monkeys, the famous Figue tree and the flamingos at Momella Lakes. Lunch will be served at the legendary tree where the projects of Africa Amini Alama, a local NGO, started 14 years ago. Enjoy an organic lunch and visit the local community including schools and a women's group before continuing your safari through the park

Full day visit to Africa Amini projects

Africa Amini Alama opens its doors to you for a special encounter with the local community. Visit a healing clinic and learn about local medicinal plants, engage with children in primary and secondary schools, watch the women's group tailoring, play with children in the children's villa and see how a local vocational training centre teaches carpentry, mechanics, welding and bricklaying to local street children to give them a skill for their own survival. A highlight is lunch under the legendary Africa Amini fig tree, served with local organic food.

Consider nature and its array of tropical trees along the riverbank as your extended living space. Relax in one of our hammocks, delve into a book on a lounge chair on your private terrace overlooking the river, or savor a drink in our tented dining area. Experience nature not just as a backdrop, but as your home.

Our chef and his team will make your stay a culinary experience. An open-air restaurant area invites you not only to stay in nature, but also to be surprised by your chef’s creativity. Eat healthy, local, organic and with lots of flavour, while listening to the sound of the river, the birds and bush babies.

Experience the thrill of camping combined with the comforts of a luxury bedroom, complete with a warm water shower, en-suite toilet, and Wi-Fi. This is reminiscent of how adventurers once traveled across Africa. Our rooms feature a king-size bed, shower, toilet, and a private terrace on the riverbank, ensuring you don’t miss any comforts while still feeling close to nature.

Our "Chef's Table" Restaurant

Let the chef surprise you with our organic, seasonal, creative, tasty and healthy food. A feast for all the senses as you sit by the river, sip a sundowner by the fire, and let our dedicated team call for food freshly prepared for you. Please let us know your food preferences and we will incorporate them into the menu.

The Organic Vegetable Garden

Within walking distance of the camp, a variety of vegetables are planted, tended, growing and waiting to be harvested. Fresh for you to put on your table. As well as local vegetables, there are also medicinal plants carefully grown for patients at the Africa Amini Healing Clinic. Our team will be happy to show you around the farm, fish pond, medicinal herb garden and composting areas. Feel free to pick some of your favorite leaves. Back at camp, make your own healing tea or ask our chef to incorporate them into your meal.
